School Supply Lists
All Monroe students K-5 should bring a full change of clothes (top, bottom, underwear, and socks) to keep in their locker in case of spills, accidents, etc.
Young Fives
The following supplies are suggested for each child to bring to school.
- 1 pencil box, labeled with your child’s name (no pencil pouches)
- 4 boxes of Crayola crayons (24 pack)
- 1 pair of Fiskars scissors
- 2 boxes of Crayola markers
- 8 Elmer’s glue sticks
- 4 dry erase SKINNY Black Expo markers
- 2 packs of 4-pack Play-Doh (Play-Doh brand, please)
- 1 blue wide-ruled spiral notebook, labeled with your child’s name
- 2 boxes of Kleenex
- 1 pack of baby wipes
- 1 box sandwich size Ziploc bags
- 1 box gallon size Ziploc bags
- Headphones, labeled with your child’s name (no ear pieces)
- Backpack, (normal size) labeled with your child’s name
- Change of clothes, labeled in a Ziploc bag (shirt, pants, underwear, socks)
- Dot stickers (any color)
- Towel
- Extra snacks (no nuts please)
- Watercolor paints
- Bingo Daubers
- Clorox wipes
Kindergarten
The following supplies are suggested for each child to bring to school.
- 2 (4pks) of playdough
- 1 box of golf pencils with erasers (Amazon)
- 3 boxes of Kleenex
- 3pk glue sticks
- 5-10 Boxes of crayons
- 6 fat Expo markers (BLACK only please)
- 1 box of Ziploc sandwich bags or gallon bags
- 2 containers of disinfecting wipes
- 1 change of clothes labeled with child’s name (include: underwear, socks, pants, and shirt)
- Headphones in Ziploc bag labeled with name
- 2 Boxes of Crayola markers
- 1 paper towel roll
- 1 pack of baby wipes Healthy snack donations (these are needed frequently)
Please do not send in pencil sharpeners or colored pencils.
First Grade
The following supplies are suggested for each child to bring to school.
- 6 boxes of Crayola crayons
- 3 boxes of Ticonderoga pencils (we love presharpened!)
- 3 boxes of jumbo Expo markers (black)
- 15 Elmer’s glue sticks
- 1 4-pack of Playdoh
- 4 boxes of Kleenex
- 1 blue folder
- 1 package of baby wipes
- 2 boxes of Crayola markers
- 2 packs of post-it notes
- Scissors (not labeled with your child’s name)
- Pencil box (no pencil pouches)
- Magnetic letters in a Ziploc bag
- Small box of Legos in a Ziploc bag
- 1 coloring book
- 1 sketchbook (plain drawing type)
- Headphones in a Ziploc bag (we use these every day!)
- Extra clothes in a Ziploc bag (shirt, pants, underwear, and socks)
- Healthy shelf-stable snacks (pretzels, graham crackers)
- 4 paper towel rolls (girls)
- 2 boxes of Ziploc gallon bags (boys)
- 1 box of Crayola Crayons
- 2 sharpened Ticonderoga pencils (no individual pencil sharpeners)
- 1 park of scissors
- 1 glue stick
Second Grade
The following supplies are suggested for each child to bring to school.
- 3-4 boxes of tissue
- 1 box of gallon-size zip baggies or sandwich/quart size zip baggies
- 2 rolls of paper towels
- Baby/hand wipes
- Hand sanitizer
- 1 pencil bag/box
- 2 folders (any color or design)
- 2 composition books (no spiral please)
- 4 large boxes of pencils (Ticonderoga & pre-sharpened if possible)
- 1 scissors (blunt end please)
- 1 box of 8 Crayola Markers
- 4 expo dry erase markers (black)
- 2 packs of Post-It notes
- Headphones (labeled with child’s name in large Ziploc bag)
- Reusable water bottle with a spill label lid rinsed and returned daily. This should be labeled with your child’s name.
Do not send any supplies that can be used as a toy.
Third Grade
The following supplies are suggested for each child to bring to school.
- 4 pocket folders
- 1 blue folder (math)
- 1 red folder (science/social studies)
- 1 green folder (writing)
- 1 yellow folder (reading)
- 1 green, wide-ruled spiral notebook (writing)
- 1 pair of scissors
- 1 large pink eraser
- 1 handheld pencil sharpener
- 1 box crayons
- 1 pencil box/pouch - big enough to fit scissors, eraser, crayons, pencils, glue stick, highlighter and expo marker
- Glue sticks
- Highlighters
- 1 packet dry erase markers
- 2 boxes Ticonderoga pencils (the other pencils break our pencil sharpeners)
- 2 or more boxes of Kleenex
- 2 or more paper towel rolls
- Whiteboard erasers
- Treasure chest rewards
- Individually wrapped snacks for classroom snack bin
Fourth Grade
The following supplies are suggested for each child to bring to school.
- 3 pocket folders
- 1 red folder

- 1 folder of your choice (please not red, yellow, or blue)
- 3 single subject, wide-ruled spiral notebooks
- 1 red

- 1 pencil box/pencil pouch (please leave this empty- we will fill together)
- Head phones (we use these daily- must have) No Bluetooth please
- 2 boxes of Crayola crayons
- 2 packs Elmer’s glue sticks
- Highlighters
- 12 black Expo markers (skinny ones please)
- Ticonderoga pencils (12 pack)
- 2 large containers antibacterial wipes
- 4 (or more) boxes of Kleenex
- 2 (or more) rolls paper towel
- One box sandwich or gallon size Ziploc bags

Fifth Grade
The following supplies are suggested for each child to bring to school.

- 3 one subject spiral notebooks (1 blue, 1 red, 1 yellow)
- 3-two pocket folders (1 blue, 1 red, 1 yellow)
- Headphones or earbuds (extremely important!)
- 1 package of Loose-leaf paper
- 2 boxes of Pencils
- 3 boxes of Kleenex
- 1 roll paper towel
- 1 package of pencil top erasers
- 1 bottle of hand sanitizer
- 3 glue sticks

No Trapper Keepers or binders.
