Special Education Center-Based Programs

  • Wyandotte offers programs for students with moderate to severe impairments who reside in the Downriver Region
  • Each Elementary, Middle School, and High School houses Special Education Satellite classrooms, where students participate in building activities and community gatherings
  • Students receive instruction around how to safely interact with the community, as well as social and emotional learning
  • Students ages 18 to 26 have access to a continuum of services which can include; vocational experiences, independent living skills, work site based learning opportunities, apartment living, social skills instruction, community based instruction, adapted physical education and reproductive health.
