  • Create Quizzes on United Streaming. You determine what video/videos they watch and then they take a quiz. The results are stored under the teacher on United Streaming. Register for a 30 day free trial of United Streaming Access.

  • Roosevelt High School was visited by TIME magazine and is the article "Michigan Model." The article is on there website and can be downloaded in pdf format.
     
  • You can use Excel and Word to create labels for all of your holiday cards. Create an Excel Spreadsheet with all of your addresses in it. Then use the Mail Merge feature inside of Word to create your labels. (Excel Sample) (Mail Merge Cheat Sheet)

  • Remember to unplug all electrical items before Christmas Break.
  • If you are no longer using software on your laptop, please delete it. This can be done by completing the following steps:
    • Click on the Start Menu
    • Click on Settings
    • Next Control Panel
    • Double Click on Add/Remove Programs
    • Scroll down until you find the program you want to remove. Click on it.
    • Next click on the Remove button.
  • Check your school email and delete all unwanted emails. Remember that you must delete your deleted items as well. A quick way to delete more than one is to click on the 1st email you do not want, hold down your shift key and then click on the last one. All of them in between will be highlighted. Then click the delete key on your keyboard or the black X, you will then be asked if you want to delete them. Click ok.

  • WebPages are constantly changing. In order to view the most recent version of pages you may need to click the "Refresh" button at the top of the screen.
  • You can also change the number of days a webpage stays in your internet history.
    • Open up Internet Explorer.
    • Click on the "Tools menu."
    • Click on "Internet Options."
    • Under the "History" heading change the number of days to 1.
    • Click on the "Clear History" button.
    • Click "Apply" and then "Save."

  • When you are working the Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.) you can quickly add uniformity to anything you are writing. For example, you want every header to be Bold, Italic, and Underlined. You set one up how you want it to look. Objectives Highlight your word or phrase and then click on the paint brush icon. Next, highlight your next header and all three of settings are applied.

  • You can create a new distribution list by clicking on the down arrow next to the word NEW and selecting DISTRIBUTION LIST.  Type in the name of your list (ex: book club) Then click on the SELECT MEMBERS button to add contacts to your list. Select a name and click or double click on a name to add it. Once you’ve added everyone click OK

  • Email, Spam, and more Email. Does that sound like what is in your inbox? Well you too can help us control what makes it to your inbox. When you receive any unwanted email, right click on the email in your inbox. A menu appears, click on "Junk Email" and then select "Add Sender to Blocked Senders List." This address will then be added to an existing list of emails to block.

The hepatitis B vaccine is provided by the district for employees whose designated job assignment includes the rendering of first aid or exposure to blood or other potentially infectious materials on a regular basis.  The following job classifications qualify for the vaccine:

  • Custodians (building engineers, subs)
  • Special education center staff
  • Physical education staff
  • Coaches
  • Lab-setting teachers
  • Elementary, middle school and high school attendance secretarial staff
  • Lunchroom aides
  • Bus drivers/bus aides
  • Preschool/teen parent staff
  • School nurses
  • Building administrators
