Respite Care  (734) 425-9950
Respite means relief.  The respite care program offers in and out-of-home care to families with developmentally disabled family members.  Respite care is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, to assist you in times of need.  Options include: In-home respite, out-of-home respite, in-home therapy for behavioral challenges and case managers to help link families to resources that are available in the community.  Families may use the service for emergencies, vacations, stress relief, appointments and recreation.  A sliding fee scale is used, no family is denied service due to ability to pay.

Book Websites:
http://bookwizard.scholastic.com/tbw/homePage.do
This is a helpful website from Scholastic.  To begin, select a DRA level or Guided Reading Level.  If you choose Guided Reading Level, you will have to refer to the Reading Level Chart to transfer the letter to a DRA number.  For example, a Guided Reading level M would be a DRA level 28.  Then, type in the title or author of the book. Typically, this website only levels Scholastic brand books.

http://home.comcast.net/~ngiansante/
This is a leveled book list website. By clicking on the grade level you will find a list of books that are “just right” for your son/daughter.  Just use the Reading Level Chart to transfer the Guided Reading Level letter to a DRA number.  This website also allows you to search for books by title and author.  Please keep in mind that this list is subjective and does not include every book.

Note:  There are so many books out there, it is nearly impossible for any one website to have levels for every book. You may also find discrepancies in the levels between websites.
