Wyandotte Public Schools strongly believes in the importance of providing our children with high quality, developmentally appropriate, learning environments to give all students the very best start at learning. All of our classrooms implement the HighScope Infant & Toddler or HighScope Preschool Curriculum, placing an emphasis on active participatory learning. Children's interests and choices are the foundation of our classrooms, as our staff support children by playing an active, and intentional, role in guiding and extending student learning. Our Early Childhood Programs provide a daily balance of developmentally appropriate learning, while also incorporating curriculum elements of our district's Kindergarten classrooms.
Beginning in the 2015-2016 school year, Wyandotte's Early Childhood Programs have relocated to form the new Wyandotte Public Schools Early Childhood Center, located at 2609 10th Street in Wyandotte. This relocation allows for Wyandotte's commitment to our youngest learners to continue to grow.
To meet the diverse needs of Wyandotte families, and the surrounding community, several different early childhood programs are offered:
Infant & Toddler Program
3 Year-Old Preschool
4 Year-Old Preschool
Free 4 Year-Old Preschool (for qualified families)
