September 9, 2009 vs. Taylor Truman
The Lady Bears opened up League play with a win against Taylor Truman.  The Bears were led by Courtney Thorington with 11 kills, Beth Kilander & Lauren Roberts combined for 8 kills.  Haley Cable led the team with 22 kills and 5 service aces.  Defensively, Becca Carley & Jackie Lesko combined for 18 digs.  Great job ladies!

September 12, 2009 Wyandotte Invitational
The Varsity Volleyball Team had a strong performance and placed 2nd in the Wyandotte Tournament.  Offensively the Lady Bears were led by Courtney Thorington, Lauren Roberts, and Beth Kilander.  Kara Avila had a consistent all around day.  Defensively, Becca Carley led the charge.  Great job ladies!

September 16, 2009 vs. Woodhaven
The Varsity Volleyball team beat Wyandotte last night.  The Bears were led by Haley Cable, Courtney Thorington, & Kara Avila offensively.  Defensively, Jackie Lesko and Becca Carley led the charge.  Great job Ladies!

September 23, 2009 vs. Carlson
The Lady Bears defeated Carlson.  It was a great team effort!  Haley Cable had 23 assists with Courtney Thorington adding 6 kills and Megan Ynclan with 5 kills.  Defensively, Kara Avila had 6 digs and 4 all serves.  Bridget Reidy and Olivia Sly combined for 5 kills.  Great Job Ladies!

September 28, 2009  - Wyandotte Quad vs. Edsel Ford & Dearborn
The Lady Bears split their matches beating Edsel Ford in the 1st match, then the Bears lost to Dearborn in the 2nd match.  Go Bears!

September 30, 2009 vs. Allen Park
The Lady Bears beat Allen Park last night 25-14, 25-21, 25-21.  It was a great team effort by all and the Bears were led by Beth Kilander, Haley Cable and Becca Carley.

October 5, 2009 vs. Lincoln Park
The Bears were led offensively by Courtney Thorington, Beth Kilander & Olivia Sly.  Defensively, Becca Carley, Kara Avila & Rachel Zimmers were consistent.  Haley Cable was strong from the service line.

October 7, 2009 vs. Taylor Kennedy
The Varsity Volleyball team beat Taylor Kennedy and continue to be undefeated in the Downriver League. The 2nd game was tied 16-16 and Courtney Thorington served (8) serves in a row to help finish the game.  She also added 14 kills.  Haley Cable was solid from the service line with 4 aces, 25 set assists and 14 digs.  Kara Avila had 8 kills, 3 aces and 8 digs.  Bridget Reidy and Becca Carley combined for 10 digs.  Great Job Ladies.

October 14, 2009 vs. Melvindale
Varsity Volleyball defeated Melvindale last night.  I t was a great team effort and the Bears were led offensively by Courtney Thorington, Kara Avila & Lauren Roberts.  Haley Cable had 15 assists for the evening.  The Lady Bears would like to thank all the staff members for attending the match and for all their support.

A BIG CONGRATULATIONS to the Varsity Volleyball team for securing a part of 1st place in the Downriver League.  Currently the Lady Bears are 8-0 with one league game remaining next Wednesday (home) against Trenton.

October 22, 2009 vs. Southgate
The Bears beat Southgate last night.  Haley Cable led the bears by serving 9 in a row in the final game to get the bears back into it.  Courtney Thorington, Kara Avila and Kaycee Lapp were solid offensively, Defensively; Becca Carley, Michelle Bugeja & Jackie Lesko led the charge.   GREAT JOB LADIES!!!

October 24, 2009 - U of M Dearborn
The Varsity Volleyball team placed first in the silver division over the weekend.  It was a great team effort and Bridget Reidy was selected to the all tournament team.  Megan Ynclan, Becca Carley, Haley Cable & Beth Kilander were steady all day long.  Great Job Ladies!  Wednesday, the Lady Bears are at home vs. Trenton.  Come out and cheer them on.  It is also Senior Night!  Be There!  

October 28, 2009 vs Trenton
The Varsity Volleyball team captured the Downriver League Championship last night and also went undefeated 9-0.  A Big CONGRATS!Senior night was outstanding and they led the team to a 25-12, 25-7 and 25-14.  Victory great play by Haley Cable, Courtney Thorington, Kara Avila, Michele Bugeja, Jackie Lesko, Lauren Roberts, Beth Kilander & Bridget Reidy,  GO BEARS!!  News Herald Tourney on Saturday at Lincoln Park BE THERE!

October 31, 2009 - News Heralds
Congratulations to the Varsity Volleyball Team for finishing 2nd in the News Herald Tournament on Saturday!  Today starts District here at Wyandotte.  The Lady Bears will take on Taylor Kennedy at 5:30 PM  Be There to cheer them on!  Good Luck!

November 5, 2009 vs. Woodhaven
Congrats to the Lady Bears for defeating Woodhaven last night and advancing to the District Finals.  They will take on Southgate for a District Title.  The Bears were led by Haley Cable, Kara Avila, Beth Kilander, Courtney Thorington, Bridget Reidy offensively.  Defensively, Becca Carley & Michele Bugeja were steady.  Great job Ladies!

November 7, 2009 vs. Southgate
A Big CONGRATS to the Volleyball Team for winning Districts by defeating Southgate on Saturday.  It was a great team effort.  The Bears were led by Haley Cable & Becca Carley; Offensively, Courtney Thorington, Kara Avila & Beth Kilander led the charge. Tomorrow the Lady Bears take on Dearborn at Carlson at 7:00 PM in the first round of Regional’s.  Come out and cheer the team on! Good Luck Ladies!

November 10, 2009 - Regionals vs. Dearborn
The Lady Bears lost a “TUFF BATTLE” last night to Dearborn.  The War went five games before the Pioneers claimed their victory.The Bears were led by seniors Haley Cable, Courtney Thorington, Beth Kilander, Bridget Reidy, Michele Bugeja, Lauren Roberts & Jackie Lesko!  Congrats on a great Season winning Downriver League (undefeated) and capturing a District Championship!Final record of 37-19-3 is outstanding! Way to be T.U.F.F.
