ac-kid-emic spotlight - The News Herald - November 25, 2009

Taylor Amos, 9 of Wyandotte is the ac-kid-emic spotlight pupil of the week.

She was nominated by Estelle Bresnahan, her fourth-grade teacher at Jefferson Elementary School, Wyandotte.

Taylor is the daughter of Marcy and Patrick Amos and the sister of Brandon, Autumn, Olivia, and newborn twins Samantha and Madison.  The family has a golden retriever named Ginger.  The fourth-grader said her favorite subject in school is reading.

"It takes me places I've never been before," Taylor said.

She's an excellent student, and also enjoys cheerleading, soccer, gymnastics and hip hop dance.  She has very definite plans for her future.

"I'd like to have a part-time job at McDonald's and then be a teacher when I grow up," Taylor said.

As the student of the week, Taylor will receive a four-pack of movies passes to any MJR Theater or Southgate Cinema 20.
