December 6, 2007 vs. Annapolis
Led by Double 1st Place Winners - Derek Balke & Alex Smith.  Other firsts:  Dave Thomas - Ind. Medley; Charlie DeLisle - 50 Freestyle; Phil Warden - 100 Freestyle; Simon Gonzalez - 100 Freestyle.  The Bears were 1st, 2nd, & 3rd, in diving with Aaron Rosen, John Chihan, and Mitch Jerles.  Jason Glenn, Richard Fry & Tyler Rutkowski swam on winning relays

 

December 13, 2007 vs. Southgate
Ten of our fifteen veteran swimmers had lifetime bests.  Best events that day were diving:  Aaron Rosen, John Chihan, and Mitch Jerles placing 1st, 2nd, 5th.  Seniors Derek Balke and Charles DeLisle each had two 2nd places.  Solid performances were turned in by Tyler Rutkowski, Alex Smith, Senior Simon Gonzalez, Kody Beesley, Frank Chihan and Dave Thomas.

 

December 15, 2007 Eastern Michigan University
The relay of Charles DeLisle, Frank Chihan, Tyler Rutkowski, and Derek Balke won the 400m relay.  New swimmers scoring points were:  John Bauer, Ben Cooper, Alex Smith, and Mitch Jerles

 

December 20, 2007 vs. Lincoln Park
Derek Balke and Charles DeLisle led with two 1st places.  Other 1sts were:  Nick Kuznetsov, Phil Warden & Frank Chihan.  John Chihan led a 1-2-3 finish in diving with Mitch Jerles and Ben Cooper.  Relay winners included Cody Beesley, Simon Gonzalez, Jason Glenn, Paul Peregord, Richard Fry, Tom Alexander and Nathan Tarrow.  2nd and 3rd placers were Tyler Rutkowski, Joe Manzella, and John Baier.

 

January 12, 2008 News Heralds
Aaron Rosen & John Chihan placed 1st and 3rd in the Diving Event; Derek Balke placed 2nd in 100 yard Breaststroke.  Other place winners were Alex Smith, Dave Thomas, Mitch Jerles, and Charlie DeLisle

 

January 15, 2008 vs. Trenton
Derek Balke won the 200 yard individual medley and the 100 yard breaststroke.  Aaron Rosen, John Chihan & Matt Jerles placed 1st, 2nd and 3rd in the diving event.  2nd and 3rd places were taken by Charles DeLisle, Alex Smith and David Thomas.  Outstanding performances were turned in by Tyler Rutkowski, Ben Cooper, Tom Alexander, Simon Gonzalez & Chris Giesin.

 

January 24, 2008 vs. Dearborn Edsel Ford
Diving was our strongest event with Aaron Rosen, Mitch Jerles and John Chihan taking the top three places.  Derek Balke was our top swimmer with a 1st place in the 100 yard breaststroke.  Outstanding swims were turned in by Joe Manzella, Simon Gonzalez, Kyle Mead, Cameron Culinan, and John Baier

 

January 26, 2008 - Taylor Invite
Aaron Rosen and Derek Balke led the way.  Aaron was the top diver at the meet and Derek placed 2nd in the 100 yd breaststroke.  Scoring points in the finals were Alex Smith, Tyler Rutkowski, Dave Thomas, Charlie DeLisle, Simon Gonzalez, John Chihan, and Mitch Jerles

 

January 31, 2008 vs. S. Redford Thurston
Derek Balke led the way with 1st places in the 100 yd fly and 100 yd breaststroke.  Other 1st places were taken by David Thomas, Charlie DeLisle and Alex Smith.  Aaron Rosen, John Chihan and Mitch Jerles placed 1, 2, 3 in diving.  2nd and 3rd places were taken by Nick Kuznetsov, Frank Chihan, Simon Gonzalez, and Tyler Rutkowski.  Outstanding swims were turned in by Kyle Mead, John Baier, Kody Beesley, Nate Tarrow, and Joey Manzella


 
February 7, 2008 vs. Gibraltar Carlson
the Bears win was led by Derek Balke and Charlies DeLisle.  Simon Gonzalez, David Thomas, Richard Fry, and Nick Kuznetsov swam on winning relays.  Divers Aaron Rosen, John Chihan, and Ben Cooper finished 1st, 2nd and 3rd.  Outstanding swims were turned in by Nate Tarrow, Tyler Rutkowski, Alex Smith, Kyle Mead, and John Baier.

 

February 12, 2008 vs. Taylor
Led by double 1st place winners Charlie DeLisle and Alex Smith, Tyler Rutkowski won the 200 yard individual medley and Derek Balke placed 1st in the 100 yard breaststroke.  Relay 1st places were taken by Simon Gonzalez, Dave Thomas, Richard Fry, and Phil Warden.  2nd & 3rd places were taken by Nate Tarrow, John Chihan, Frank Chihan, and John Baier.

 

February 14, 2008  vs. Riverview
Individual 1st Places were taken by Tyler Rutkowski, Alex Smith, Aaron Rosen, and Derek Balke.  2nd & 3rd places were taken by Richard Fry, Charles DeLisle, Frank Chihan, John Chihan, and Kody Beesley

 

February 21 & 22, 2008 - League Meet
Aaron Rosen won his 4th MEGA Diving title.  Other place winners for the Bears were Alex Smith, John Chihan, Mitch Jerles, Tyler Rutkowski, and Kody Beesley.  Derek Balke & Charlie DeLisle were named to the All League Team.
