Ryan Belknap, 8 of Wyandotte is the ac-kid-emic
spotlight pupil of the week.
He was nominated by Estelle Bresnahan, his teacher at
Jefferson Elementary School in Wyandotte, where Ryan is in
the third grade.
He is the son of Todd and Karin Belknap and the brother
of Amy, 15. Ryan has two pet turtles named Carl and
Jerry.
His favorite subject is science. "We discover
things that are new," he said.
Ryan's teacher said he's a good student with "wonderful
manners" who tries his best at everything.
He enjoys playing baseball, basketball and soccer, and
hopes to be a professional baseball player someday.
"It's fun hitting the ball and you get to run a bunch if you
don't strike out," Ryan said.
As the student of the week, Ryan will receive a four-pack
of movie passes to any MJR Theatre or Southgate Cinema 20
and a free class session at the Southgate YMCA Fitness
Center.
Congratulations, Ryan. Keep up the good work. |
