This Parents Guide to the Internet is intended to help
parents--regardless of their level of technological know-how--make use of
the on-line world as an important educational tool

The Philosophy of services stresses the importance of reaching out to
families without regard to their ability to pay. Services include:
Family supports and behavior coaches, individual and family counseling,
psychiatric consultation, crisis intervention and advocacy / family
support. They can also help with guardianship and estate planning.

Their goal is to help families obtain benefits, services and programs for
all children and adults with mental retardation. They provide mentally
challenged children, adults and families with a variety of recreational
opportunities. There are also supports for family guidance,
legislative information and advocacy.
Respite Care

Respite means relief. The respite care program offers in and
out-of-home care to families with developmentally disabled family members.
Respite care is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, to assist you in
times of need. Options include: In-home respite, out-of-home respite,
in-home therapy for behavioral challenges and case managers to help link
families to resources that are available in the community. Families
may use the service for emergencies, vacations, stress relief, appointments
and recreation. A sliding fee scale is used, no family is denied
service due to ability to pay.
