9 career PR's and 2 others were very close. 3 medalists (top 25); Dave
Benoist - 12th (17:29); Kody Beesley - 17th (17:37); and Andy Kiczenski - 23rd
(17:46)In the reserve race, all 4 runners ran career PR's - Dan Balavitch,
Brendan Arthur, Austin Rice, and Tyler Green.

2009 vs. Gibraltar Carlson
RHS wins 21 to 40 taking 2nd, 3rd, 4th, 5th, 7th, 8th, 9th. Top 4
guys were within 14 seconds of each other and top 5 within 49 seconds
October 8,
2009 vs. Lincoln Park & Southgate
Josh Ellison's first race back from injury was 18:38, good showing after
5 weeks off, 7th place overall. Alex Lanstra won both duals in
17:24. Taylor Kok, big race and huge PR, 18:20 (5th place
overall). Holmes PR by 21 seconds (18:42). Dan Balavitch PR
(19:22)
October 10, 2009 - Wayne County Championships at Willow Metro Park
8th of 31 teams. Alex Lanstra, 30th place, All-County Honorable Mention
PR's by Cody Rowland (19:18), Brendan Arthur (20:19), and Tyler Green (23:28)
October 17, 2009 - News Herald
RHS Men were 2nd place:
Alex Lanstra, 17:18 (PR), 6th place overall, medalist, Drake Davis, 17:41, 12th
overall, medalist, Andy Kiczenski, 17:47, 16th overall, medalist, Dave Benoist,
18:00, 20th overall, medalist. The aforementioned men were all-area
selections: 5 all-area selections still remain to be named and we have two or
three guys who may be chosen to the team. Alex Holmes, 18:07 (big PR),
22nd overall, medalist, Josh Ellison, 18:17, 26th overall, Kody Beesley, 18:22,
27th overall. Top 25 medaled in varsity race. In the reserve race
there were big PR's: Cody Rowland, 19:12 (PR), 5th overall, medalist, Brendan
Arthur, 19:20 (big PR), 6th overall, medalist, Austin Rice, 20:55 (big PR), 30th
overall, Tyler Green, 23:25, 53rd overall. Top 10 medaled in reserve race,
RHS Men were 2nd place,
Alex Lanstra, 17:18 (PR).
October 22, 2009 -
Downriver League Championship Meet
Drake Davis, 7th overall, PR 17:26, all-league honors. Alex
Lanstra, all-league honors. Andy Kiczenski, all-league honors. Kody
Beesley, all-league honors. Men were third place overall at the
championship meet but finished second overall in the DRL season due to the
combination of dual meet records and championship place. Reserve race Cody
Rowland, 19:12 and Brendan Arthur 19:21
October 22, 2009 - Regionals
6th place team Scoring 5 runners were: Drake Davis 17:51, Andy
Kiczenski 17:52, Alex Lanstra 17:55, Josh Ellison 18:13 (career PR), Kody
Beesley 18:16. Top reserve runner: Dan Balavitch
