Who he is: Matthew Johnson, 8, is a third-grader at Jefferson Elementary School in Wyandotte.
Background: Matthew is the son of Billy and Michelle Johnson of Wyandotte.
Why nominated: Matthew is a very good student and behaves well in class. He treats his classmates with respect and is always willing to lend a helping hand. Matthew is also very athletic and enjoys playing sports.
Matthew’s teacher Janel Blevins says: “Matthew is a very respectful student and performs well in all subject areas.”
