Why nominated: Caruso is a teacher who is dedicated to
improving the lives of her students, her colleagues say.
She constantly creates new and exciting lesson plans. She
initiated and ran a bank "branch" through the school, with
interviews for jobs and training for positions, for her students to
understand money and banking.
Caruso is an integral part of almost every committee of the
district. She is a charter member of the first North Central
Association accreditation process for Washington Elementary School.
She says: "I love being a teacher. I have fun creating
special events, recognitions and learning for students, my
colleagues, my school and my district."
