Mary Armes, Jefferson Elementary School
Who she is: Mary Armes, 8, is a third-grader at Jefferson Elementary School in Wyandotte.
Background: Mary is the daughter of Larry and Athina Armes of Wyandotte. She also has a sister, Allison.
Why nominated: Mary is a team player. She works well with others, helps students on assignments and is a leader in the classroom. She makes sure that she understands the material before moving on to something else. Mary always goes over her answers and always tries her best.
