ac-kid-emic spotlight - The News Herald - June 11, 2006

Kylie Corbiere, 8, of Wyandotte is the ac-kid-emic spotlight pupil of the week.  She was nominated by Estelle Bresnahan, her third-grade teacher at Jefferson Elementary School of Wyandotte.

Kylie is the daughter of Emery Corbiere and Cari Radinski, and the sister of Rhion, 10, and Zoe, 2.

She is an academic all-star, and a very well behaved pupil too, her teacher said.

Kylie enjoys science more than all her other school subjects, she said, "because we do experiments."

She also enjoys gymnastics and soccer.

Someday she hopes to "go to college to be a nurse like my mom," Kylie said.  "I want to help people."

As the student of the week, Kylie will receive a four-pack of movie passes to any MJR Theater or Southgate Cinema 20 and a free class session at the Southgate YMCA Fitness Center.
