ac-kid-emic spotlight - The News Herald - March 21, 2007

Hailee Trombley 11, of Wyandotte is the ac-kid-emic spotlight pupil of the week.
She was nominated by Gerald Fivecoat, her sixth-grade teacher at Monroe Elementary School of Wyandotte.
Hailee is the daughter of Kristie and Gregory Trombley, and the sister of Levy and Rylee. The family has five fish named Brick, Bubblegum, Nemo, Neon, and Rose.
Hailee enjoys social studies most of all her school subjects.
"Learning about history is really cool," she said. "I enjoy learning how people, events and inventions of the past have come to affect us today."
She earns excellent grades, and shines in attendance and citizenship, as well, her teacher said. Hailee is captain of her school's safety patrol, too, and works in the school office. She also enjoys playing basketball, softball and volleyball, participating in cross-country and serving as a volunteer at her church.
What's in the future for Hailee? "A career in the medical field, maybe a nurse," she said. "I really like to help people, especially helping hurting people to feel better."
As the student of the week, Hailee will receive a four-pack of movie passes to any MJR Theatre or Southgate Cinema 20 and a free class session at the Southgate YMCA Fitness Center.
