As a self-insured health care District, Wyandotte was required to pass policy and develop appropriate safeguards for compliance with the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA).
The Wyandotte Board of Education passed the following HIPAA policies:
HIPAA HYBRID ENTITY STATUS POLICY
Additionally, Notice of Privacy Practices for all our health care plans and the Summary Plan Amendment documents for Vision and Flexible Spending Accounts must be distributed to all employees who receive these benefits.
Wyandotte will be distributing these documents electronically on this web site, as well as hard copies upon request.
