Background: Carlos is the son of Carlos and Georgina Valverde of Wyandotte. Why nominated: Carlos is a great student. He is a high achiever who is always looking to do his best. He works well together with his classmates to accomplish his assignments. Carlos is also a leader in the classroom, paying close attention to the teacher and completing all of his assignments on time. Carlos is an active student who plays hockey and enjoys other sports. He says: "I enjoy going to school because I get to see my friends and the teachers are really nice. I like learning new things and can't wait to one day go to college."
