Amanda Woodward, Jefferson Elementary
Who she is: Amanda Woodward, 9, is a third-grader at Jefferson Elementary School in Wyandotte.
Background: Amanda is the daughter of Brian and Nancy Woodward.
Why nominated: Amanda is a very bright student. Always enthusiastic, she completes her work quickly and accurately. Her report card shows she has earned straight P's, for Proficiency, in all academic areas, which would be equivalent to straight A's. She is an outstanding student who deserves to be recognized.
She says: "I always try my hardest because I want to get good grades. I want to be a professional dancer so I will try my hardest just like I do in school."
